a longing fulfilled is a tree of life

ten years ago i was asking the Lord about promises. there were several things i had sensed the Lord had promised to me that had not yet come about. so in the middle of a time of sifting, God spoke to my heart something that would be significant for years to come. Hebrews 11:11. paraphrased - "sarah herself received the promise of God because she considered Him FAITHFUL, TRUSTWORTHY, and TRUE TO HIS WORD." from that time on, when I see the number 11, God reminds me of how much He loves me and what a good and faithful Father He is. along the journey, there have been many victories, promises fulfilled, promises in waiting, many griefs and many sorrows too. but deep in the core of my being, there was something planted ten years ago that has taken root. "His promises are yes and amen." Promises for salvation, promises for healing, promises for joy, peace, love, and the promise of heaven. and as temporal as it may seem, He promises temporal things on earth to delight His children. we must hold these lightly in our hands because our hope and joy is in Jesus and He alone. but i can not escape the revelation that our loving God LOVES to delight His children in ALL kinds of different ways. spiritually, emotionally, physically, relationally.

to make a long story short for now. we have been believing God, hoping, trusting, saving, and looking for a home in Boston for the past eight years. and after all this time, God has opened the door for us. a miracle in so many ways. we give Him the glory.

our little home sits above the charles river on Presentation Hill right here in the city of Boston, the place where God has called us to see revival fire fall.

there are miracles that have happened along the way and i will write of those another time.

until then ... i'll leave you with the address of our little home. Eleven! 11 Durland street! He is Faithful, Trustworthy, True to His Word! Hebrews 11:11.
