Alyssa gave her life to Jesus while she was in college. She spent her college years in Boston growing in God, learning, and serving at CFCF in every way possible. She is one of our family's little treasures here in Beantown.
A few things I love about her:
1. I am continually encouraged by how she walks in the Joy of the Lord. She steps into our home and JOY is ushered in at a new level.
2. She loves Jesus. Alyssa is sold out to Jesus for life. She is a radically abandoned lover of God who seeks His face and hears His voice. She is humble and teachable and marked by and for the Love of the Father.
3. Lyss has a gift of engaging children. This is one of the hundreds of reasons she is such an excellent children's pastor. She always meets Jude where he's at, initiates activity on his level, and calls him to deeper understanding. It's amazing. We love you, Lyss, so so much.
4. She loves us. It feels so good when you know that you are really deeply loved by someone. Alyssa not only loves us, but she loves our little guys. And they LOVE her. Jude woke up this morning and said, "Where did Daddy go?". The very next question he had was, "Lyss?"

Whole Foods has toddler carts. Jude was shaking with excitement as we shopped yesterday letting him push the cart through the store. And of course, Alyssa was there soaking in the joy of the moment with me. What fun!
